 Parmiago Gourmet Burger

 

Gourmet Parmiago Burgers

– 2 pound 80/20 ground beef

– 1 diced onion

– 1 T olive oil

– 1 egg

– 1/2 – 2/3 jar any flavor Parmiago Cheese, mixed well

– 6-8 hamburger buns, split

– Favorite hamburger fixings onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, bacon etc (optional)

Gourmet Parmiago Burgers Directions:

Preheat grill to medium heat.  In medium skillet, add olive oil and onion.  Sauté on medium heat until tender and brown (about 10 mins).  In a large bowl, mix together the sauteed onions, egg, Parmiago and beef. Using your hands, form the patties to the size of your buns.   This will make 6-8 burgers depending on the thickness of the burger you prefer.  Make sure to press a “dimple” into the center of each burger about 1/4” deep.  This dimple will protect the burger from excessive shrinkage and ensure a bun sized finished product. Grill the Gourmet Parmiago Burgers about 5 minutes on each side or until desired temperature is reached.  Do not press burgers on grill as this will dry them out.  A 160 degree internal temperature is recommended.  Serve burgers on buns with extra Parmiago and fixings.
